4 days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga desert

Around 8:00 Am Sahara desert excursions driver/guide will escort you from your Riad//Hotel in Marrakech to the departure pick-up location. Then, our 4 Days Marrakech desert tour starts toward Dades valley. First of all, we will travel through the “Atlas Mountains” over the “Tizi Ntichka” Pass (2260 Altitude). We will have time for short breaks along the way to take pictures at the impressive panoramic views of the High Atlas Mountains and authentic Berber villages.  

Then continue our Merzouga road trip to “Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah“. We will have a sightseeing walking trip Discovering the culture and Beautiful Landscapes of that Castle. (declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986). Famous films have been shot on this spectacular stage, like; “Gladiator”, “Obelix”, “The Mummy”, “The Jewel of the Nile,” Sahara with Penélope Cruz”…and much more. We will free time for lunch in town (Optional).

Our 4 days Merzouga desert tour continues to “Ouarzazate” known as “The gate of the desert & Hollywood of Africa”. The next step in our road is “Roses Valley” across the fascinating Skoura oasis palm groves. An amazing attraction to contemplate more than 700.000 palms and numerous kasbahs that are built in the surrounding area. In this Valley damascenes, roses are raised for cosmetic use such as the valued rosewater. The festival of roses is held every year in May. After we arrive at Dades Gorges where the 1st-day tour finish, we will have an overnight in Dades valley in a Riad. 

On our 2nd day, after breakfast, we will head toward the Sahara desert. Along the road, we will visit Todra gorges where we will escort you on a short walking in Todra valley known as the grand Moroccan canyon. a famous attraction for rock climbing at its rock walls that rises up to 300m in a narrow part. 

The Lunch scheduled in Tinghir or where you want. We will continue our tour to “Erfoud“ is a Berber village, which became the destination for filmmakers due to the beauty of the surrounding Sahara desert and the town’s oasis areas. Erfoud has been a filming location for many films, like: “The Mummy” Prince of Persia” and much more. Erfoud famous also for its fossilized marbles, where you will have the opportunity to visit a workshop that produces marble and fossils.

Before the sunset, for 2 hours we’ll arrive in the Merzouga desert. where you will experience a camel trek Excursion with a night stay in a Berber authentic desert camp. You will experience the sunset view on your camel ride trip & Sandboarding if you are interested. Dinner and overnight in a private Berber tent under a beautiful starry sky, Berber drums, campfire. you will enjoy an unforgettable desert experience. 

You will wake up early to enjoy the spectacular sunrise in the Erg Chebbi sand dunes. Breakfast and shower in the camp. Then you will take the camel’s back or 4wd jeep (optional) to Merzouga desert village. We will continue our road to Ouarzazate through Rissani where we will stop to visit its traditional market that is considered the largest in the South of Morocco. Then we will continue to Alnif, Tazarine, and the Draa Valley with its impressive oasis palm trees valley and Amridil Kasbah. Arrival in Ouarzazate, Overnight in a charming riad.

On our last day trip on the 4 days desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga. We will visit the famous Kasbah of Taourirt. After that, we will continue to the red city of Marrakech crossing the high atlas mountains through the Tizi N’tichka pass. On the slopes of the mountains, you will see amazing Berber villages and farms that blend in with the landscape. Arrival in Marrakech, End of our 4 days Morocco desert trip.
